Overview

The Lead IT Security Engineer is responsible for ensuring and enhancing the organization's security posture by leading the design,
implementation, and management of security solutions through the creation and execution of security strategies and policies, identifying and mitigating security risks. Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements while working closely across all departments to ensure integrate security measures are integrated across the organization.

 

This position is eligible for remote full time.

Responsibilities

1. Oversees, advises on and manages security systems, malware detection and analysis platforms.
2. Engages with engaging 3rd party Managed Detection and Response (MDR) Provider as needed.
3. Responsible for tool testing, deployment, maintenance, troubleshooting and enhancements.
4. Develops and evaluates efficiency and effectiveness of IT security processes and controls through creation and maintenance of detailed security and/or compliance reports, as necessary.
5. Leverages existing Cybersecurity tools to review and remediate security alerts and to proactively try to identify potential security events.
6. Takes the lead with identifying and reviewing new Cybersecurity tools as required.
7. Monitor system logs, security information and event management (SIEM) tools, and network traffic for unusual or suspicious activity. Interpret such activity; make recommendations for resolution.
8. Investigate and resolve security violations; provide postmortem analysis to illuminate the issues and possible solutions.
9. Support intrusion detection and incident response (IR) activities, leading IR engagements, and performing forensics as needed.
10. Research threats and vulnerabilities and where appropriate, take action to mitigate threats and remediate vulnerabilities.
11. Complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in information systems is required. Advanced technical skills and demonstrated relative experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in enterprise level cybersecurity is required.

• Cybersecurity certifications (e.g. CISSP, CompTia Security+) are required.
• Demonstrated experience developing and promoting best practices for information security, identifying, communicating and remediating cybersecurity risk, monitoring network traffic for security incidents and events, investigating incidents and responding to events in real time, conducting threat research, and writing detailed incident response reports is required.
• Demonstrated experience with security software or tools, identifying and remediating vulnerabilities, and performing periodic risk assessments and penetration tests is required.
• Demonstrated experience in cybersecurity or cloud security, along with Zscaler and Microsoft Defender experience, is required.
• Advanced technology skills are required. Experience must include use of computers and mobile devices, Android and iOS.
• Ability to operate without direct oversight is required.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure or Microsoft 365 is preferred.
• Oral communication, written communication, fluency in English, active listening.
• Demonstrated intermediate technology skills. Especially Microsoft office, including word and excel.
• Other than for designated full-time remote positions, in-office attendance is essential in order to achieve Enhabit objectives, including but not limited to, effective supervision, teamwork, task completion, and other position objectives.
